GLASS-BLOWLING.

There was a foirly numerous attendance at Professor Woodroffe’s exhibition last evening, though had it not been fcr couter attraoti- ns the uud enca would probably have been muon larger. The exhibition was simply marvellous, glass being shaped and fashioned into a variety of articles within an incrertibly short space |of time. In one part of the hall the Professor was f xplaining and practically illustrating the mysteries of glass-blowing, while elsewhere bis two talented lady assistants were turning out numbers ot beautiful little articles of glass with magical rapidity. On the at 'ge were working models of a high pressure horizontal, and low pressure steam engine~| all the parts of which, even the boilers, • were constructed of glass During the course of the evening Professor Woodroffe lucidly explained the working of the engines, which are marvels of their kind. The articles manufactured were disposed of by a-t union, a ticket for which the en-tr-nne money of 9ich of the audience entitled them to receive. The glass-blowing exhibition will again be open this evening, land to-marrow uternoon there will be a matinee for school children, at whxh every child will receive a present.
