Snltan was first over the first fence, where Mountaineer went round and Dan O’C-mnell fell. After colng over the water Sultan and Erebus had the race to themselves. At the stone wall Sultan fell, but Lyford was soon on him again. Erebus, who had a big lead > baulked at the double acd again at the next fence, which gave Sultan the lead. At the next atone wall Sultan was still leading, but after a few strides Erabus took the lead and won by five lengths Dividend, £2 Ladies' Bracelet.
