TINWALD LIVE STOCK MARKET.

Mr E. G. Staveley (for New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited) reports on Tinwald live stock market, 22nd inst.;—2ooo sheep, mostly young crossbreds, and small entries pigs and cattle yarded. The store sheep market showed more animation, bat the supply of fat sheep was in excess of the local demand, though all through late rates were firmly upheld. Prices ruled as follows: —Fat crossbred ewes, 6s lid; prime fat merino ewes, ss, 5s sd; forward four-tooth crossbred wethers, 8s 6d; two-tooth do, os lid, Cs 8d; two-tooth mixed balf-breds, 6s 3d; medium to good crossbred lambs, 2s 6d, 3a 9d, 4s 3d; cull do, is 6d. Pigs dull of sale; values unaltered. Few cattle to band, and sales difficult to effect; fat cows, £4 and £5 a-pieoe.
