Auckland, June 23.

It Is reported that Cafffey and Penn after committing tbe Great Barrier murder went to sea, hoisting a black dag. No news has been received of the police steamer which has gone in pursuit

Tbe Rowena returned from Barrier island this afternoon with the coroner and police. At the inquest which was concluded on Tuesday night, a verdict of “ wilful murder” was returned against John Caffrey and Heoty Penn. Nothing was seen of the Sovereign of the Seas. The steamer returns to-right to search tbe Great and Little Barrier Islands and round Cape Colville for the cutter.
