At the adjourned inquest on William Verrall to-day, the evidence of Professor Uickerlon, who had made an analysis of the deceased’s atomaqh, and of the few drops remaining of the medicine supplied by a herbalist, was t,b the effect that he could not certainly say what the medicine was, but he suggested lobelia. This drug is used as an eme‘l6, ani is poisonous if taken in sufficient/ quantity. It is, ac cording to Taylor, one of the poisons frequently prescribed by quacks, and is a dangerous drug. There was no positive proof, however, that it had been administered, and the jury returned an open verdict. '
