The Canterbury College Board of Governors resolved to-day to forward Ll5O to Professor Yon Haast to enable him to visit European cities in order to obtain works of art and specimens for the Museum. At a meeting of the Flood Holier Coin mittee held to day a resolution was passed, affirming the desirability of reestablishing in some form the old BoneV dent Association, which had been prov i usly supposed to be superseded by the Charitable Aid Board The United Charitable Aid Board to day passed a resolution opposing the establishment of the Lyttelton Orphanage as a separate institution until the system of representation on the Board of Management, as provided by the Act, has been amended, so as to prevent the affairs of tho institution being in the hands of a limited number of subre -ibars.
