1 A* im-ei'ing of the Stewards of the Ashbnrtonßac’ng Club held this morning it was i determined, in consequence of the inclement weather, to further postpone the second days’ racing of the Autumn Meeting until Monday. The town is still full of visitors, and should the weather be fine on Monday there will still be a large gathering. Sometime yesterday the publican’s booth on the racecourse was broken into and a quantity of goods, the property of Mr Whittle, of the Commercial Hotel, stolen. The police are investigating the matter [and have obtained a clue which they believe will lead to the arrest of the thief.
