Rain la still falling, Tho Avon rose over 4 feet higher than since the Hood of 18G8 Tho low lying parta of the city are Hooded, and numbers of families have had to leave their houses. Many were taken out in carta and boats. The Heathcoto is also very high, and families are leaving houses along the Ferry Road. The rain fall for the 24 hours ending P a.m. is seven inches.
