A NEW COMET.

[Bt Tblkgraph ] Wanganui, To day. _ A comet is said to have been visible in the Western heavens by ssveral persons here last night. It was only seen between 6.30 and 6 45 before sinking below the horion. It had a clearly defined neuc Ins ami tail. Wbu-jngton, To day. A fine comt was seen in the Westernheavens last evening. From observations made it was shown to be moving away from the sea aud towards tbe east and south with extreme rapidity. The neucles is large and well defined, its breadth being about Bor 10 seconds. The tail was distinctly visible to the naked eye, aud was about 6 degrees in length.
