All races are confined to horses that have been commonly resident in that portion of the old Mount Somers Road District, lying south of the North Ashburton rivor, from September 30th, 1885, and owned by a person who has resided in the said district during the same period. 2. Three horses the bona fide property of different owners to start or no race. 3. o entry will be received except on condition that the decision of the Committee or whom they may appoint, will be final in all cases of dispute, or on all I points in carrying oat the programme4. Protests most be made la writing, and handed to the Secretary, accompanied by a deposit of 20s within 30 minutes of the race being run. Should the protest prove frivolous, deposit to be forfeited. 5.
