I He then kept close to his game, and allowing the Girl to score only on sufference, won easily. Waitangi was two lengths fester than Starlight, and turned twice and wrenched ; the latter then got in for two, but Waitangi again taking posses- : sion, finished np with the kill. Salamander had a deal the best of a bad slip, and led Adamant to puss. He kept possession to escapes, beating Adamant pointless. Beresford ran a bye. Bohemian Girl turned the hare three lengths in front of Rockwood, and kept possession until she had run np a long score. Rockwood then got in for a couple, but the Girl killing won easily. Ringwood and Bordeaux were next in slips, and 4 to 1 was freely laid on the latter winning this coarse; but amidst the greatest excitement Ringwood was first away from slips and when puss was turned there was a gap o! four lengths between them. Bordeaux then got in for a turn, wrenched, and quickly killing put himself out. Waitangi, on whom as much as 5 to 1 was laid, had a alight advantage over Hercules in the lead up, and scored two turns and a wrench before the dog scored. The favorite, however, soon took possession again, and when Hercules killed Waitangi had won with a lot in hand. Starlight led from the slips, but when nearing puss Bed of Stone shot past her and took first turn, but running wide let her in. Starlight then scored freely, and a hen Bed of stone took possession a grand course ensued, in which each worked beautifully, and Starlight killing won. Princess Charlotte tamed fonr lengths ahead of Adamant, but the latter immediately got in for three. Princess again took command of affairs and turned twice, and wrenched before Adamant scored again. A good give and take course then ensued, and Adamant killing won. There was nothing to choose between Symphony and Beresford in the lead up, but the former was first to score. Beresford then took possession, and allowing Symphony to get in only once, again kl-iedand won. Salamander ran a bye.
