RULES AND REGULATIONS. 1. No entry will be received except on the condition that all disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by the Stewards, or whom they may appoint; their decision on all points connected with carrying one this programme to be final. 2. Canterbury Jockey Club Raoin Rules strictly adhered to. 3. A district horse shall mean any horse that has been commonly resident ir the Ashburton County from 16th, January 1885, and up to the date of the forth, coming meeting and owned by a peraor who has resided in the said County doc ing the same period. 4. per cent, will be deducted fron the gross of all monies payable in accordance with this programme for expenses of the course. 6. All nominations and acceptances to the funds of the Club.
NOMINATIONS. All nominations to be accompanied by fees, name, age, and description of horse and colors of grider, and in the hands of the Secretary (address—Ashburton) not later than 9 p.m. on Thursday. 26th March, 1885. WEIGHTS. Weights for the first day’s handicaps will bo declared on Thursday, 23rd April, 1885. Weights for the second day’s handicaps will bo declared at 9 o’clock on the evening of the first day’j racing. ACCEPTANCES. Acceptances for the first day’s ETandl* caps must be made to the Secretary not later than 9 p.m. on TUESDAY, 28th April, 1885.
