Telegrams from Coonamble, a town in the north-west ot this colony, report that two prisoners in gaol there effected their escape last night, after murdering the gaoler. They have not yet been arrested. The Markets. New Zealand wheat has advanced 3d, to 2s 9d ; New Zealand oats are quoted at 2s 3d, a further decline of id j maize has advanced sd, to 3s nd. Sugar Company’s No 1 pieces remain at L 26.
