RULES. 1« A district horse shall mean any horse that has been commonly resident in the country lying between the south bank of the Selwyn and the north bank of the Waitaki, from September 27, 1884, and up to the date of the forthcoming meeting, and owned by a person who has resided in the district above defined during the name period. 2. General rules of Ashburton Racing Club and Canterbury Jockey Club racing rules strictly adhered to, and new scale of weight for age adopted. 3. Five per cent, will be deducted from the gross of all monies payable in accordance with the programme, for expenses of the course. 4. All disputes, claims and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by the stewards, or whom they may appoint, their decision on all points connected with the carrying out of this programme to he final, and entries will only be received subject to these conditions. 5.
