Four persons were killed, and twenty injured. The Cannibalism Case. The jury in the trial of Capt. Dudley and Stephens, the mate of the yacht Mignonette, for the murder of Richard Parker referred the case to a special Court, and recommended the prisoners to mercy. The aacused have now been released. A Loan. Tenders for the Melbourne Tramways Loan of half a million at 4 y 2 per cent were opened to-day. The total amount offered was found to be L 3 xo,ooo. Still Uncertain. The Presidency election is still unfinished, and the probable result still uncertain. Death of the Postmaster-General.
