MrlH. S. Fitzherbert, solicitor, is a candidate for the Hutt. It is stated that Mr J. R. Brown, 0.8., will contest Foxton. ’* ■ ’ M J. R. Blair, Chairman of the Education Board is mentioned as a probable candidate for Te Aroha. . Mr Fitz Gerald will bo opposed by Messrs Grimmond and Bevan. Mr T. Fergus will stand for re-election for Wakatipu. Mr James Gammack is spoken of as likely to oppose Mr O’Oallaghan at Lincoln. Mr J. L. Coster, manager of the New Zealand Shipping Company, ia to be brought forward to oppose Mr Vynn> Williams for 1 the Heathcote. Mr Biltcliff, a member of the Working Men’s Political Association, will oppose. Mr Harpor for. Avon. Mr Ruddenklaa wished to withdraw from, the contest lor Stanmore, but subsequently consented to ' stand. Mr Cliasold ia also a candidate. For Sydenham the present member . (Mr White) will be opposed by Mr Berry Oats. [BY TELEGRAPH. J Auckland, To-dfcy. Sir George Grey yesterday received a telegram from the Christchurch Working Men’s Political Association, asking him to stand for Christchurch North.
