The Ministry resigned office to-day, and Mr Colton was sent for by his Excellency the Governor and charged with the formation of a new Ministry. It is probable the portfolios will be allotted as follows ;—Premier and Chief Secretary, Mr Colton ; Colonial Treasurer, Mr Hawkes ; Attorney-General, Mr Symon; Public Works, Mr Parker or Mr Murray. [Received June 14, 1.10 p.m] The Sugar Trade. Melbourne, To-day. The latest Mauritius advices per the Messageries’ steamship Sydney report the sugar market as unchanged. An Illustrious Visitor. The Duke of Manchester is a passenger by the steamship Sydney. The Political Crisis. Adelaide, To-day. The new Ministry has not been formally settled, but Mr Colton is expected to complete his task by Tuesday next.
