(reuter’s telegrams—copyright.) The Coming Race. Sydney, Yesterday. It has been finally decided that the match between Hanlan and Beach shall take place on August i6th on the Parramatta river. [Received June 10,12.40 p. m. ] The Chartered Bank Robbery. Melbourne, To-day. It is understood that some disclosures will shortly be made in connection with the robbery which took place at the branch of the London and Chartered Bank at Horsham on and March last. Opening of Parliament. The Victorian Parliament has been opened to-day. The Federal Council Bill will take precedence of other business, but otherwise it is believed the programme for the session is unimportant. It is understood that no change will be made in the tariff. Shipping. Sydney, To-day. Arrived—Manapouri, last evening. A land Bill * Brisbane, To-day. The Secretary 'of Lands has introduced in the Legislative Assembly a, Bill providing for leasing the Crown lands and the abolition of the present practice.
