The Melbourne Manager of the National Mortgage and Agency Company of New Zealand, Limited, reports on the local grain market as follows : Wheat, 4s 2d to 4s 3d; market firmer. Malting barley is quieter; to-day’s quotation, 4s 3d to 4s gd. New Zealand oats, feeding sorts, quiet at 2s nd to 3s; milling do, steady, at 3s 2d to 3s 3d. New Zealand oats, under bond, 2s 6d to 2s 8d; market dull and drooping. Shipping. SYDNEY, Yesterday. The steamship Albion, which returned to port with disabled machinery, resumed her voyage this morning for Wellington. Sailed, this afternoon —The Union steamship Hauroto, for Wellington. Precautions. In consequence of the warning which has been received by the authorities regarding the projected attempt to destroy the public buildings in this city, the C>t> of Sydney will be strictly searched for explosives on arrival from Auckland. [Received June 4,1.10 p. m. ] * Sailed. Melbourne, To-day. Sailed—This morning, Ringarooma, for the Bluff. Wrongly Entered. It is announced that Thunderbolt was erroneously included amongst the entries for the Melbourne Cup.
