Messrs Ireland, Fraser and Company report on the sugar market as follows :—Clearer ces for the month for Christchurch amount to 600 tons ; for Dunedin, 860 tons. Freights to Australia, 15s to 20s; ditto to New Zealand, 22s 6d to 355. Exchange at 60 days’ Bank credits on New Zealand, 13 per cent. ; ditto on Australia, 15 per cent. (sic). The stock ot sugar in hand amounts to 19,000 lons. The exports this season to New Zealand reached 10,000 tons. [Received May 19,11 15 a.m ] A Challenge. Sydney, To-day.
