The Waihi met with an accident coming - up the river this morning, and was unable -' to teach the town. The cylinder cover is gone and the piston rod broken, and several bolts have sprung, The machinery was taken out and sent over to-Welling, v -ion.this afternoon by the Mohaks. The accident will necessitate the Waihi laying op for several days. An Explosion. DuNKtpN, To-day. In the Provincial Saleyarda is a gasometer for working the limelights at the Theatre. This morning William Walker, a. gagfitter, was repairing a leak when an explosion occurred, by which he sus- '• tubed serious injuries.
