Special Adyertismcnt. TO THE ELECTORS OF ASHBURTON, Gentlemen, —I have to-day forwarded to Sir G. Maurice O’Rorke the resignation of my seat in the General Assembly as your representative. For some time past I have struggled to overcome the necessity for this step, but constitutional ailments of long standing warn me that, in justice to myself and family, I have no alternative. You will, I know, acquit me of any charge of trifling with my duties as your representative. Indeed, it is only a keen appreciation of the kindness and consideration which I have at all times experienced at your hands, that has induced roe to withhold my resignation to this late period, in the vain hope that I should bo able to attend to your interests during the approaching session. With much regret that I am thus compelled to resign my trust. I have the honor to be, Gentlemen, Your most obedient servant, EDWARD G. WRIGHT. Windermere, 16th May, 1884. 5 950
