HIGH SCHOOL BOARD.
The High School Board met- at the Cunnty Council Chambers this afternoon at three o’clock, when the following members were present—Messrs W. 0. (Chairman), Wright, Cox, Williamson, and Saunders, The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. Mr Books waited on the Board with plans of the proposed Girls’ High School, which were considered at length, and on tbs motion of Mr Wright, seconded by Mr Williamson, it was resolved that a separate wcoden building be erected on the north-east portion of the reserve at a cost not exceeding L2OO, for the purpose of a Girls’ High School, the Standing Committee to call for tenders for the work. ■ A quantity of fencing and planting was ordered to be done. The Standing Committee reported upon the letter received at last meeting from the Provincial District Auditor, to the effect that tbs Auditor’s objections were founded upon a misconception of the accounts. A copy of the report was ordered to be sent to the Auditor. The meeting then adjourned.
