On the 30th and 31st January next an EXAMINATION will be held at the Ashburton High School for FOUR SCHOLARSHIPS, open to boys attending the primary sjhools of the County of Ashburton, each scholarship being of the annual value of twelve pounds and tenable for four yean. Two of the said scholarships will be for boys whose age will not exceed 12, and two for those whose age will not. exceed 13 on the 31st January, 1884- The subjects of examination will be those set for Class B of the Scholarships of the North Canterbury Board, with the exclusion of elementary science.
