CRIMINAL SESSIONS.

Wellington.

[by telegraph.]

Wellington, To-day.

At the Supreme Court this morning, a young man, George Gedge, who pleaded guilty to horse stealing, was sentenced to two years. The case against Elizabeth Trenery, for larceny from the person is proceeding. The case of arson against Mullen has been postponed until Monday, owing to the abspnce of a material witness. It is probable that it will have tq be further adjourned as the Crown is unable to go on without his evidence. Elizabeth Trenery was convicted of lar? ceny from the person and sentenced to twelve months’ imprisonment.
