Regulations under the Patents Ao f , 1883, and Rules unoer the Bankruptcy Act, 1883, are gazetted. All fees under the last-named Act are to be paid by means of stamps. Still They Come. At the inquest on the body of Edward Donkin, tho jury returned a verdict that decea ,ed camo by death by hanging himself. The Governor Ch'Tstohukch, To-day. His Excellency the G> vernnr arrived nt Lyttelton by the Hinemoa at about 1 p. ■!!. to day, and a special tra'n took him straight cn to Dunedin. Bankruptcies. Ddnbdin, To-day. At a meeting of the creditors of Mr George R. West, he stated that hia losses since 1879 amounted to L 4,163. His assets are L 7,316, and his liabilities L 4.674 A deed of arrangement was agreed to, Mr West to be allowed time to make an offer. Twelve declarations of insolvency were filed during the holidays, including Henry Scott, a publican, with debts of L 4,636, assets L 397. Cricket The Tasmanian cricketers have arranged their tour, which commences at Invercargill at the end of the month. The Australian Eleven cannot visit New Zealand until they return from England. Satisfactory. The Victory, the longest vessel that has yet entered a Now Zealand dock, was safely floated into the Lyttelt n Dock this morning. Pound Dead. A man, to be F. O. Bennett, was found dead at the Shingley Creek. It is supposed that he fell from his horse. Joined the Maj ority. William Wilson, an old resident at Milton, died from apoplexy this morning.
