[>KK PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Burglary. Auckland, To-day. The house of Knight, a fruiterer, at Newtown East was broken into. The cash box, containing L4l was stolen, al«o a watchchain and other goods, making a total value of L9I. The burglar effected an entrance by breaking the back window, and he took the cash box from the room where Knight was sleeping without awakening him. Death of an Old Settler. David Hay, of Montpellier Nursery, an old Auckland settler, is dead. Found Drowned. Alexander Duncan, in the Government employ at Sulphur Point, Lake Rotorua, ; was found drowned in Lake Rotorua. Ministerial Movements. New Plymouth, To-day. The Hon W, Rolleston, with the Under-; Secretary and Surveyor-General, arrived ' from Kawhia at six this morning, chiefly : on business connected with the surveys,' A visit was paid to the harbor works.
