The total reserve in the Bank of England in notes and bullion is Li 3,000,000, being an increase of L 300,000. The Bank rate of discount is unchanged at 3 per cent, and the market rate at Consols remain at New Zealand securities are quoted as follows:—Five per cent. 10*40 Loan, Loan, 107 ; Four and a half per cent. 1879-1904 Loan, cent. Inscribed Stock, 102, Adelaide wheat, ex store, 455; New Zealand do, 38s 6d to 43s 6d ; Adelaide flour, ex store, 32s ; Australian tallow —best beef, 40s; best mutton, 41s 6d; best Scotch pig iron No. 1, f.o.b. in Clyde, has advanced to 48s per ton, and galvanised iron, 26 guage, packed in cases, f.o.b. in London, to LlB 10s.
