LATEST FROM EURO^F. [REUTER’S TELEGRAMS —COPYRIGHT. ] Monetary and Commercial. London, Sept. 13. The reserves in the Bank of England in notes and bullion are L 14,500,000, being an increase of L 600,000 since last Thursday. The proportion of reserve to liabilities has fallen 2 per cent during the week, and is now 36 per cent. Consols remain at 100)4. New Zealand securities are quoted as follows: —Five per cent 10-40 Loan, 103, ex div; Five per cent. 1889 Loan, 106 ; Four and a-half per cent 1879-1904 Loan, stock, 101. The produce markets are without quotable change. The Wool Sales.
At to-day’s wool sale 11,700 bales were offered. The tone of the sale is firm. Since the opening of the sales 17,750 bales have been withdrawn. The sales close on October 8. The British Premier. London, Sept 14. Mr Gladstone, who for some time past has been yachting on the Scotch coast, sailed for Norway. Committed. Doctor Connelly, who with his brother was arrested at Limerick on August 22nd, charged with conspiracy to murder, has been committed for trial.

Adelaide, Yesterday. Wheat remains at 4s 1 od; no business doing. Town flour, per ton, Ln to Li 1 ss; country brands, Lio to Lio 10s. There is very little doing in the market.
