The directors of the Suez Canal Company have decided to introduce from the Ist January, 1884, some modifications of the existing regulations under which the traffic through the Canal is conducted. The shock was felt most distinctly at Goulbourn. The Libel Case. A crowded and enthusiastic meeting was held in the Town Hall of this city this evening for the purpose of considering the recent actions for libel and contempt of Court, in which the proprietors of the Sydney Morning Hetaid were condemned to pay heavy damages.
