Auckland, To-day.
The old Independent Chapel and Parsonage at Hamilton, the property of the Rev. H. Davis, was burned yesterday. Most of the furniture was saved. The place was insured in the New Zealand Office for L6OO.
Dunedin, To-day. A fire at Tapanni last night destroyed the shops of Hagan (bootmaker) and Farquhar (tailor). The insurances are—L2oo in the New Zealand and L 75 in an office not stated. / '■?
