DISTRICT COURT.
ASHBURTON.— To-day. (Before his Honor Judge Ward.) IN BANKRUPTCY. Re Tate and Masters.—Application for an order of discharge. Mr Wilding, who appeared for the bankrupt, said the application was made at last, sitting of the Court, but Judge Harvey had decided that some informality in the preliminary proceedings necessitated the adjournment of the case. Counsel put in an affidavit of one of the bankrupts, staling that the only opposing creditor was present at the meeting of creditors. —Mr Crisp opposed the granting of the discharge, on the grounds that the regulations of the Act had not been complied with.—His Honor dismissed the application. Re Ferguson and Lecky. Application for order of discharge. Mr Crisp appeared for the bankrupts. There being no opposition the order was granted. Re George Parkin. —An application for payment of casts in this case was granted to Mr Crisp. Re Joseph Fergusson.—Application for an order of discharge, made by Mr Crisp (for Mr Branson) was granted. Be James Bradley.—On the motion of Mr Crisp an order of discharge was granted.
