A SCHOONER WRECKED.

Dunedin, To-day. The three-masted schooner Alma, owned by Messrs Henry Guthrie, Henderson and Paterson, of Dunedin, the latter in mand, was lost on a voyage from Wanganui to Rockhampton with sleepers. The crew was picked up by a vessel and landed at Port Elizabeth, 300 miles from Brisbane. The insurances are —On the hull, L4OO in the Equitable, L4OO ,in the United, and L 450 in the National. Of the latter, the Victoria and the New Zealand offices each have Ll5O. Latkb. The Alma was lost on the Elizabeth reef, 350 miles from Brisbane.. A vessel bound for Oregon lauded Captain Paterson and his crew at the North Cape. Cap'ain Paterson pulled in his host to Wangaroa, whence he telegraphed • particulars. The Equitable has a risk of LSOO on the hull, and the United only L3OO on the hull, hut it has L 250 on freight. The Union Company has Ll&O on (he freight.
