Tee action against the proprietors of the Sydney Morning Herald for contempt of Court in publishing an article reflecting upon the conduct'of Mr Justice ’lnnes in connection with the libel case of Andersbn v. the proprietors of th'e same journal, was commenced today,and, partly heard, but at the rising o( the Court adjourned to Monday next, the 20th inst. An extensive forgery has been discovered here, and a warrant has been issued for the arrest of William White, a s vinegar manufacturer, who, it is alleged, while receiving bills in a bond, fide.vsyj has forged numerous others with a sitthlnr date andtenpr.,, Several persons have been victimised, and one has already filed his schedule, as he is unable to distinguish between the genuine and the forged bills. It is believed that the latter reach a total of fully L 8,006. White has disappeared.
