The Government are considering the question of the establishment of a system of Federal quarantine, in favor of which resolutions were passed at the recent Intercolonial Conference. Heavy Fines. The owners of the ship Allanshaw, which arrived from London on May 2nd, have been fined LSOO for breaches of the immigration regulations ; and the owners of the ship Elliona, which arrived on June the nth with immigrants from Plymouth, have been sentenced to pay a penalty of Laso for a similar offence. [Received July 30, 12.55 p. m.] The Phoenix Park InformersPerth (Western Australia), July 30. The steamer Pathan has arrived here from England, and it is stated that among the passengers are the Phoenix Park informers, Cavanagh, Smhh, Murphy and Kelly, travelling under assumed names. The news however is not yet confirmed.
