ASHBURTON.— To-day. Before His Worship the Mayor and Mr R. Alcorn, J.P.) Threatening Language. A man
named- Elliott, was fined.6s for using threatening language towards Anthony Lee.
Larceny. —Charles Falconer and William Lambert were brought up charg ed with stealing a bottle of brandy, valued at 6s, the property of Robert Patton, of the Methven Hotel. Evidence having 1 been taken, the Bench sent need the prisoner! to 7 da} s’ imprisonment. CIVIL CASES. S. Elliott v. A. Lee, claim L3.—Mr Crisp appeared for the plaintiff and Mr Purnell for defendant. Judgment was given for the defendant with coat*. W. St G. Douglas v. A. M Gaul,’ claim L 9 15s for rent. Judgment for plaintiff by default. - R. Edgworth v. Sanderson, claim L 9 10s. The plaintiff was nonsuited with COStS:
