Melbourne, To-day,

The Agent-General at London telegraphs to the Government that he is arranging a deputation of Agents-Gene-ral to wait upon Earl Derby in regard to. the proposed annexation of New Hebrides..' He apprehends there will b$ difficulty consequent upon the agreement that exists between England and France not to annex the Pacific Islands. The telegram further states that the public feeling in London is opposed to the sweeping policy of annexation.
