It has transpired that the Queensland Government has ordered two gunboats and two torpedo boats from England for the defence of the colony. Grant to Irish Tenants. In the House of Commons last night, the motion for providing grants by the State, to enable the Irish tenants to purchase their farms, was brought before the House by the Conservative leaders, and after a long discussion was agreed to.
