The Governorship of Canada. It is reported that the Marquis of Lansdowne will succeed the’ Marqujs of Lome as Governor General of (janada. London, May 22. The announcement that the Marquis of Lome was about to be succeeded as Governor-General of Canada by the Marquis of Lansdowne,; is officially confirmed. The Trisco Mail Service. . Slay 21. Mr Creighton, who is agent for the New Zealand- Government, has been negotiating for the renewal of the Pacific mail service, and has completed arrangements with the United Statics* Government for the continuation of the service, and has expressed himself confident that the New Zealand Government will ratify his action. The Czar. i ! J Moscow May 22. The Czar made a State, entry into the Kremlin Palace to-day. A gorgeous procession has been organised, and four miles of streets were traversed.
