THE INANGAHUA ELECTION.
The election of a representative for the Inangahua district in the place of Mr Weston, Who resigned, tobk'place'.Yesterday, ~ and resulted in the return of Mr Shaw by a majority of 46. The successful candidate was 118 -ahead at, Reeftoh, but in' regal'd to other polling places success varied. Mr Wakefield had large ma-< joyitieaat Brunnerton and Blaok,’s' Point.' When all the returns were in, except Moonlight and Little Grey, Mr Wake-,, field was 40 behind, bifk his supporters in Beeftou did not despair, and in their en-, thusiasm they carried him shoulder high through the town.
