James Fitzharris, cabdriver, who had been identified as having been employed by the Phoenix Park murderers, will be tried for conspiring to murder Lord Frederick Cavendish and Mr Burke. The trial of Edward McCafferty, one of the alleged four actual assassins, commences at Dublin today. [Received May 3, 1 p.m.] The Tasmanian Loan. The tenders for the Tasmanian halfmillion Loan were opened to-day, apd were found to amount to the exact sum required. The average of the tenders is L9B 10s, being tos above the fixed minimum. Sentenced to Death. Patrick Delaney and Thomas Caffery, two of the Phoenix prisoners, have confessed to complicity in the murder of Lord F. Cavendish and Mr Burke, and have been sentenced to death.
