Sydney, Yesterday. The third match between the Hon. Ivo Bligh’s Eleven and the Australian Cricketers commenced to-day. The team are exactly the same as those who played in Melbourne last week. The greatest interest is being taken in the match, both hern and in other colonies. The weather was very fine during the day, and the ground' was in good order, with a capital wicket. The Hon. Ivo Bligh won the toss, and sent his team in first. They succeeded in putting together 247. Messrs Read and Tylecote batted carefully but grandly for 66 each. Most of the other batsmen obtained double figures. The Australians bowling was somewhat loose, but their fielding was very good.
