CRICKET
MARRIED v. SINGLE. A match was commenced yesterday afternoon, on the Domain, between elevens representing the above. The Married were the first to go to the wickets, and they managed to put together 105 runs before the last wicket fell. G. Andrews and Dr. Leahy were the highest scorers with twenty each, the latter especially playing a careful innings. Wroughton was successful with the ball, obtaining five wickets, for very few runs. Pixley and Castelli started tho batting for the Single, Beard and G. Andrews bowling. Both bowlers were well on the wicket, and runs came slowly. Castelli played good cricket for his 24, not out, and when time was called, three men were out for forty-three runs. The fielding on both sides showed decided improvement.
