WAKANUI SPORTS.
The sports that were held yesterday at Wakanui, in a paddock kindly lent ifor thd purpose by Mr Jas. Brown, were in every way successful, and the visitors that came from Ashburton had every reason to be satisfied bath with the quality of the racing and the number of items on the programme. Mr T. Quill had charge of the refreshment booth, which was liberally patronised. The committee were very energetic in their endeavors to make the sports a success, and special praise is due to the Secretary, Mr J. Thomas. The following is the prize list : 4 HORSE RACKS. ■!
