The debate in the House of Commons on Mr Gladstone’s proposed new rules in reference to the business of the House has been rapidly proceeded with. At the recent sittings during the past week, seven more of the Premier’s resolutions have been passed, and all ■ the rules affecting procedure have now been dealt with. Three final reso- ' lutions affecting Standing Committees alone remain to be discussed.
