[rEOTEr’s TELEGRAMS—COPYRIGHT.] , Produce. Melbourne, Yesterday. Malting barley is in less demand, and prices are easier. The present quotation is 5s 2d. Wheat has fallen 2d during the week, and shipping parcels are now quoted at ss 4d. The market is steadier. New Zealand oats firmer at about last week’s prices. Feeding qualities are worth 4s id to 4s 3d ; milling do., 4s 4d to 4s 3d. Wool. At the wool sales to-day Messrs Goldsbrough and Co., Limited, catalogued 4,800 bales. The attendance of buyers was large, and the brisk competition experienced at the recent sales was fully maintained. The highest prices realised were ts for greasy and is for scoured. 4,500 bales were sold and 300 withdrawn. [Received Nov. 16, 1.40 p m.] Cricket Melbourne, To-day.
J. Rosser, emergency man, takes the place of T. D. Groube in the Eleven to play for Victoria to morrow against the English team. Resumed. Information is to hand that the railway traffic between Suez and Alexandria has been resumed by passengers, who will now be forwarded from Alexandria to Venice. The Great War Correspondent. Archibald Forbes leaves for New Zealand on the 21st instant, by the Manapouri.
