ABOUT THE LOBBIES.

[by telegraph.] [from our own correspondent.] Wellington, To-day. There is more excitement and lobbying in the House to-day than ever perhaps during the session. Mr De Lautour is almost certain to bring down a of confidence motion on the House meeting to-night. The Opposition reckon on a majority, and already rumors are afloat as to who will form the Ministry. Sir George Grey is spoken of as Premier, Mr Montgomery orMrDargaville asTreasurer, Mr E. G. Wright as Minister of Public Works, Mr Macandrew as Minister of Lauds and Immigration, Mr E. De Lautour as Minister of Mines, Mr Hutchison as Minister of Education, Attorney-Gene-ral either Mr Holmes or Mr Weston, and Col. Whitmore will represent the Ministry in the Upper House. Should Mr De Lautour bring down this notice Government will immediately move the adjournment of the House, and the debate will commence to-morrow. The Ministry, however, notwithstanding the state of affairs, seem sanguine of their position.
