[PER REUTBR’s AGENCY.] Coursing. Melbourne, Yesterday. The final course for the Waterloo Cup was won to-day by Capri. The Purse was won by Wanton Lass, and the Plate by Rhodanthe. The meeting has passed off most successfully. New Zealand Wood in Melbourne. Messrs C. S. Ross and Co., of Melbourne, report the sale of a cargo of kauri pine, ex Bella Mary. Hewn logs realised an average of 16s per 100 feet, and sawn flitches an average of 16s 6d. Produce. Sydney, Yesterday. New Zealand wheat has advanced 2d per bushel, and is now quoted at 5s 3d. New Zealand oats are unchanged at 3s fid, and maize at 5s id. Sugar Company’s No. 1 pieces, per ton, LSO. Twenty-five per cent. The Commercial Bank of Sydney has declared a dividend of 25 per cent, for the last year. Feeders. It has transpired that the Government now propose to adopt a system of light railways in place of tramways, which it was intended to construct in country districts as feeders for main railway lines. Flour and Freights. Adelaide, Yesterday. Wheat is very firm at 6s fid, being an advance of fid. Town flour, Ll 4 per ton; country brands, Ll 3 15s (s/ir). The market for freights is unchanged.
