THE THREE MILLION LOAN.

[by telegraph.] Wellington, Yesterday.
The Canterbury and Westland members met on Saturday morning, to consider the allocation of funds for works in their districts out of the three million loan. There were twenty-two members present—Mr F. G. Wright, M.H.R., in the chair. As the result of a discussion lasting over two hours, the following works were recommended to be proceeded with:—Trunk line to .Blenheim, Fairlie Creek to Burke’s Pass, Oxford to Malvern, Mount Somers extension, Wairnate Gorge line, Little River extension, bridge at Dobbin’s Ford, the Fast and West Coast line, and sundry works on the goldfields.
