Sib, —Will you kindly allow roe, through your columns, to thank Mr St. HUI (Chairman of the Ashburton School Committee) and Mr Dempsey, the master of the school, for the assistance given me in enabling the pupils under my charge to avul themselves of the excursion yesterday, and also to thank Mr Pilkington for his exertions to meet the convenience of the inhabitants of Nowlands. —I am, <Sc., E.
